Impact

Our Impact

The Osborne Foundation measures its work through meaningful outcomes rather than simply activities. Counting events held or calls received says little about whether a mother is more stable than she was before.

How we evaluate our work

Outcomes over activity

Our Impact Framework defines the categories we track across every program. It also keeps us honest: we publish results only once they are verified.

Protection

Access to legal information, resources, advocacy, and referrals.

Indicators we intend to track:

  • Mothers reached with Know Your Rights education
  • Referrals made to legal aid and qualified professionals
  • Housing, safety, and family-law resource requests answered

Education

Educational advancement, scholarships, credentials, and career pathways.

Indicators we intend to track:

  • Mothers supported in GED, trade, credential, or degree pathways
  • Scholarship opportunities funded and awarded once available
  • Educational navigation conversations completed

Restoration

Family stability, supportive resources, restoration, and community connection.

Indicators we intend to track:

  • Families connected to community stability resources
  • Family-centered programming sessions delivered
  • Follow-up support provided after initial contact

Empowerment

Helping mothers develop greater stability, opportunity, and confidence for their families.

Indicators we intend to track:

  • Mothers reporting clearer next steps after contact
  • Sustained engagement with Foundation programs
  • Long-term stability milestones reached by families served
Accountability

Our Commitment to Accountability

The Osborne Foundation is committed to responsible stewardship, meaningful community partnerships, measurable outcomes, and transparent communication about the work we undertake.

A note on numbers

We do not publish statistics, testimonials, or program results that have not been verified. As the Foundation's programs grow, results will be reported against the framework above and clearly dated.

Current organizational goals (targets, not completed results):

  • Launch and schedule recurring Know Your Rights educational workshops
  • Establish formal referral relationships with Central Alabama legal aid and service organizations
  • Fund and open a scholarship application cycle for eligible single mothers
  • Publish an annual summary of programs, partnerships, and stewardship
Why Us

Why Choose The Osborne Foundation?

Six principles shape how we serve mothers and how we hold ourselves accountable.

Comprehensive Support

We approach the challenges facing single mothers from multiple perspectives, recognizing that legal, educational, family, and economic barriers can overlap.

Personalized Guidance

We seek to connect mothers with information and resources that reflect their individual circumstances.

Educational Opportunities

We believe education can provide a pathway toward greater independence and long-term stability.

Trusted Partnerships

We work toward meaningful relationships with community organizations, professionals, educational institutions, and service providers.

Family-Centered Approach

Our work considers the well-being of mothers and their children.

Lasting Impact

Our goal is not simply to address an immediate problem, but to help create pathways toward long-term stability and opportunity.

Help us expand what we can measure

Funding, volunteers, and community partners directly increase the number of mothers the Foundation can serve.
